Derek’s journey into carpentry began in woodshop at Bourne High School, where he discovered a natural talent and deep appreciation for the trade. While still a student, he spent his summers working alongside an experienced Cape Cod carpenter, gaining hands-on knowledge and sharpening his skills. That early passion quickly evolved into a full-time career, eventually leading him to launch his own business in 2005.
Construction is more than a career for Derek—it’s in his blood. His father, Albert Timo, served as a lead foreman on major projects like the Prudential Center and was also the treasurer of the Laborers Union. That legacy of hard work and leadership continues in Derek’s commitment to craft quality and integrity.
From blueprint to final walk-through, Derek is involved in every phase of construction. He brings decades of experience in everything from site development and engineering coordination to framing, finish work, and custom detailing. His clients value not only the precision and care he brings to each project but also his ability to turn a vision into reality—whether it’s a luxury kitchen renovation, a multi-use commercial space, or a complete home transformation.
